In African cultures, the butterfly’s metamorphosis is a symbol of transformation like that of societal change or even female puberty.
Though different cultures may have a variety of meanings, there is no single “truth” about what a butterfly means. The truth is what they mean to each individual and how they make us feel when appearing in a dream or real life. To understand this we need to understand how the butterfly connects to our personal journeys.
